Mind Wide Open Challenge - Background - Spring

What better way to celebrate Spring than with Easter and Bunnies? Although I created several images using the wonderful green background we were provided, this one is my favorite. The vintage Easter image as well as the butterflies, flowers, and cut-out frame are from www.doverpublications.com I'm so thankful to have that as a great resource of images!
On March 10th, you can view and vote for your favorite "Spring" image at:

  1. Hi Joan,

Oh wow -- this one is a winner! I haven't gotten around to take up the Mind Wide Open challenge myself, but now that I see your masterpiece I am inspired to get to work. :)

    Big hugs,
    Birgit

  3. Hi JoanMarie!
I *love* your spring bunny! And as you know, I voted for him too! :) Did you do the artwork on your computer, or did you cut and paste the images onto the background? I like the dimensional quality and the embossed look. The frame is great too! He's so very sweet!
I hope you take up cross stitching again! It's a great way to stay awake at night! lol!
You asked about a software program to convert artwork to x-stitch... I just (today!) ordered PatternMaker from HobbyWare. It is a super program! I also chart my designs the old-fashioned way (with tracing and graph papers and colored pencils).
I'm working on a few new designs right now! They aren't on my blog, but will be eventually. Please stop by again and say Hello! I enjoyed your post!
    Take good care!
