As promised...here are my new little additions! Please remember that I have never created any dragons or seagulls before and it's been way too many years to count since I last worked with fimo/sculpey so go easy on my first attempt, ok? The measurements (in length and height) are:
1] Bigfoot Seagull - 2 1/4" L x 1 3/4" H
2] Baby Dragon - 1 1/4" L x 2" H
2] Baby Dragon - 1 1/4" L x 2" H
3] Sister Dragon - 2 7/8" L x 2 7/8" H
I do love working with very small creations although now I need to find my glasses to see better. I didn't catch some of the very small blemishes this time around. And I know I can improve with much practice...and I certainly wouldn't mind the practice...I had so much fun!
So, here they are getting very hot in their metal fenced play yard. These little guys have to bake at 275 degrees for about 20 minutes. Just look at those heat waves! LOL If you could see the other side of the ball with the W on it, you could clearly tell it is a football.
What a perfect place to cool down. It will take about 30 minutes for their final cool down. I'm wondering what kind of adventures they will have once they get use to their new home.
I see now that they have already figured out how to move from room to room! Perhaps they were curious of the chicken-scratches on the table. Or maybe they are just following the light.
I do hope you enjoyed your visit here today! All in all, it has been a very wonderful and creative day! I also hope you like my new little critters. They really put a smile on my face! Oh, and btw...I think they all need names, don't you? If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment and just perhaps - there might be some goodies for the person who comes up with the best names. (Or persons)
I sent a comment but not sure it went thru. Did you get it?

Hi Jude! This is the only comment I got. Wish I could see the other one. :-(
ReplyDeleteThat would make me :]
Love your writing and sharing! Adorable little critters. I asked my 18 year old daughter. about names For the seagull, she suggested "Mine" from the Nemo movie when they all see the fish and scream mine, mine. OK, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteOh Joan...they are adorable! You are so multi-talented! Now for the names....ummmm....I screwed up. For some reason, I had it in my head that the baby dragon was the "sister" and the large dragon was of unknown gender. I came up with some names (based on this) and that's my story and I'm sticking to it LOL!
ReplyDeleteBecause they were all conceived and cooked at the same time, I felt the need to go with a theme. First I thought of my favorite artists and musicians...but nothing fit...not to mention I have to many faves! So then I went with another of my favorites...junk food! I've packed on the weight to prove it too. So here are my names: Seagull = creampuff, baby dragon which I thought was the sister = Little Debbie, and the large dragon (which I thought gender unknown) = Big Mac.
This was fun...thanks Joan!

This is so much fun! I love seeing the names and how they were thought up. Thank you Tammy and Kathleen for your wonderful ideas. They make me smile real big! I'm not very good at keeping surprises so we'll see if I make it to April without giving the secret away. :)
ReplyDeleteHey there,
ReplyDeleteThe Seagull could be called Paddles, on account of its feet.
As for the dragons, since they both feature eggs, the large dragon could be called Scrambles and the small dragon could be called Shirr.
Later
Oh, it's fun to name your critters, Joan!
ReplyDeleteSeagull -- Pete
The little guy looks just like a Pete for me.
Dragons -- Pharo and Phara
Those names sound like perfect dragon names for me. Little Pharo just have to grow a little to live up to his name though. :)
Hugs,
Birgit
